As the 2022 general election fast approaches, the quest to mobilize enough financial resources for heated campaigns is pushing some aspirants to extremity as they device means of getting the much-needed cash.
In a similar extreme expedition to source for funds illegally, a high-ranking government officer who is speculated to be attached to either the ministry of Labour or Foreign Affairs is a disgruntled man after a higher authority allegedly scuttled his impending visit to Saudi Arabia among other gulf countries in the guise of a dressing complaints about poor working conditions for Kenyans.
Close sources privy with the developments and who have since demanded anonymity for fear of reprisal confided to Daily Nation that the deal never saw light of the day following the emergence of critical reports that the undisclosed official's real mission was to launder unknown amount of money for the benefit of a senior political elite who intends to capture the presidency come 2022 general elections.
The informants further revealed that the helpless official has now resorted to complaining to those close to him that he's being frustrated by some 'powerful forces' that do not want him to execute his official mandate.
