While speaking to the press recently, the MP revealed information on plans by the Azimio la Umoja to hand over the ticket to Richard Ngatia, saying that they will not allow them to take advanteg of the union to bar Tim from the race.
According to the MP, Ngatia has been a preferred choice to a section of the bigwigs in Azimio la Umoja, and in addition that he is in ODM party. Wanyonyi added that his candidature is a project of the people and that he will defeat Ngatia in the nominations.
"He will be their project but i will be the people's project. There is no party called Azimio and in that case I am an ODM party candidate. We have no other ODM party candidate in Nairobi. On a one on one, Ngatia will not beat me. He should come out and declare his bid and his party, he should no hide behind others. I am with the people," said Wanyonyi.
