Ida Odinga Breaks Silence, Making Major Announcement

ODM leader Raila Odinga’s wife Ida has called on religion leaders to be bi-partisan in the forthcoming 2022 general elections.

Ida said churches, mosques and Hindu shrines should not take active sides in politics especially those seeking audiences during services, but be in the forefront in bring unity in the country.

"While lawmakers have begun to load up political race heat, we need dynamic voices which can call for resilience and houses of worship and strict bodies ought to be the level head to lessen the hotness," Ida said 

Ida said it is typical for lawmakers to go to temples for strict sustenance, however chapels ought not permit them to transform spot of love into meetings. 

"We need lawmakers who look to push through their plan and meet electorates to make their own conventions and social capacities as opposed to going church to assist with making political resistance," she said. 

Ida was talking in Ragana town, Migori district on Friday when she was the visitor of honor during a thanksgiving function for PEFA public president cleric John Okinda who was as of late chosen as Vice Chairperson of National Council of Churches Kenya.
