IEBC Chair Makes Another Crucial Announcement A Day After Declaring Ruto The President Elect

In a very close election, Ruto received almost 7.1 million votes, edging out his opponent Raila Odinga, who received 6.9 million votes.

After being sworn in at the end of this month, Ruto and Gashagua will continue their official duties if the Azimio Soalition team does not file a case with the supreme court to contest the results released by Shebukati.

Ruto will now go down in history as the most successful sandidate in Kenya to soest for the first time and emerge as the presidential elest in just one attempt, in contrast to all the presidents who have served in the country, who had to make multiple attempts prior to being elected.

It is now up to the Azimio Coalition team to determine whether they will proceed to a Supreme Court, as they have already indicated, or whether they will accept defeat.
