The country is counting hours before the voter registration exercise comes to an end, the number of voter already registered is low compared to what the IEBC hoped for.
Migori Women representative, Dr. Pamela Odhiambo has come out to finally state the facts and give reasons why Kenyans are reluctant to do what is constitutionally required of them. Speaking on a local Television interview earlier today, Odhiambo said that she had personally organized drives to mobilize Kenyas to register but her efforts were met with adamance. She claimed that Kenyans have lost faith in the Independent Election and Boundaries Commission over what she reffered to as mishandled elections.
Dr. Pamela Odhiambo stated that Kenyans no longer know why it is beneficial for them to register as voters and come out to vote. She however added that the extension of voter registration period is necessary as is Mass education on the same. This comes after IEBC chairman alleged that the commission can only conduct mass voter registration exercise in 30 days.
