What Kenyans Expect From William Ruto, The New President-Elect Of Kenya

After a very long wait ,IEBC finally announced the new Kenyan President, William Ruto. Many Kenyans have a lot of expectations from the new president . Some of these expectations include:

1. Revival of the Kenyan Economy.

We have witnessed the worst economic times in the past months. Food prices have hiked making it impossible for the local Kenyans to afford them. The new president is expected to lower food prices and to initiate new methods to ensure that every Kenyan can afford a proper meal

2. Good healthcare.

We expect that the new government will build more hospitals to provide good healthcare for all Kenyans. We also expect that a lot of doctors and nurses will be hired to prevent loss of lives.

3. Good Infrastructure.

In the past months, we have witnessed alot of road carnages which have claimed the lives of many people. The new government should ensure that the roads are safe to use and that unroadworthy vehicles will be removed from the roads to ensure the safety of Kenyans as they commute.

4 . Quality Education.

To be honest, the education system is undergoing alot of criticism at the moment with many parents and teachers showing their displeasure with the current education system. Many parents are demanding that the current CBC curriculum should be abolished since it has become very expensive for them. Quality Education starts by ensuring that the teachers salaries are increased and disbursed at the correct time .

5. Security.

We expect that the ongoing insecurity especially in the pastoralist communities should be brought to an end. Many lives have been lost and it is time the government did something about it.

6. Corruption.

We expect that all corrupt government officials should be dealt with according to the laws of Kenya. Corruption has seen many Kenyans lacking fair services .

7. Jobs for the youth.

Insecurity has been on the rise thanks to many Kenyan youth lacking employment. The government should be able to educate the youth on self employment due to the few and competitive blue collar jobs available at the moment.
