ODM leader Raila Odinga will win with an overwhelming majority of votes in the 2022 general election, city politician Ahmed Hashi has predicted.

The governance expert, who is eyeing Lang'ata parliamentary seat, claimed Raila has been winning the past polls only for his victory to be stolen, saying this time round he will be declared the winner since the system appears to be on his side.

"Raila Odinga will sweep the election in a landslide. He has been winning it for long. Today there is no one to cut hands at the electoral commission," Hashi tweeted on Monday.

He made the remarks amid allegations by UDA that there was a plot to rig out Deputy President William Ruto in favour of Raila.

Ruto's allies led by UDA Treasurer Omingo Magara and MathiraMP Rigathi Gachagua have accused Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and his Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho of plans to manipulate next year's polls to ensure the DP does not win.

Other Tangatanga diehards led by youthful politician Kiigen Koech and blogger MumbiMbui have said the ODM can't defeat Ruto in a free and fair polls.

"I have finally reconciled to the fact that Raila Odinga will be the STATE candidate. However, Williams Ruto will defeat Raila courtesy of the rural votes. Unless the state plans to steal elections, Raila cannot win a free and fair election," Mumbi tweeted.
