Ms. Helen Nkaissery was appointed by the Jubilee Government to lead Azimio's presidential candidate campaigns in Kajiado County.
Ms Nkaissery, widow of former Interior CS, the late Joseph Nkaissery, says she is up to the task given her considering she had previously campaigned as MP for her late husband.
She said the jubilee government of President Kenyatta took her into account, demonstrating the government's commitment to politically empowering women and giving them a voice.
Although she has no political ambitions at the moment, Ms Nkaissery said she will join forces with local leaders to rally voters behind the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition.
Ms Nkaissey insisted that Raila Odinga was the best choice to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
She appealed to the leaders in Azimio to unite before the elections to capture the most electoral posts in the county.
Azimio la Umoja One supporters of Kenya praised the appointment and said it was an honor for the community.
