Wafula Chebukati, Guliye and Molu have now completed their 6th year at IEBC which will be officially ending on Tuesday of 17th January. After this happens, it is expected that someone else will take over. Unfortunately, there was a lot of confusion after 3 employees had left, leaving one. The four officials appointed by Uhuru Kenyatta have resigned due to controversy after rejecting the election results.
However, when Cherera, Nyang'aya and Wanderi resigned, Irene Masit remained the only one who refused to resign. As such happens, it has now emerged that when Chebukati and his friends go away, she will by default remain the only people working at IEBC as new appointments are expected as soon as the resignation process is over.
Irene Masit will be the only senior official working at IEBC despite the fact that she and her colleagues are still in trouble. However, her lawyer always stood by him in the court process as she tries to prove her innocence in court.
