How Raila's Wife Dug Raila's Political Grave Which Ended Up Burying Raila's Dream

In a speech on Thursday, January 12, Ngunjiri said Ida's views on the church helped President William Ruto get more than 200,000 votes that decided the presidential election. According to the former member of parliament, Ida's sentiments caused concern among Christians, causing some to change their allegiance.

Ngunjiri said Raila dug his own political hole by sweeping the temple during one of his campaign rallies. Former Member of Parliament Bahati Kimani Ngunjiri addresses a rally in Nakuru County on Wednesday 6 January 2021.

Ngunjiri came after the former prime minister blamed church leaders for unleashing electoral injustice in the country.

After the IEBC chairman announced the results of the presidential contest, Raila accused religious leaders of bias. During the campaign, Raila and his wife Ida were forced to clarify their statements about the church in Kenya.

Leader Azimio said that he spoke in part about the harassment of Muslim women in government offices and therefore wanted equal treatment for all religious groups. Ida, on the other hand, was forced to apologize after her comments on the legalization of mushroom churches in the country.
