Johana Ng’eno who is the Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr has poked holes on Uhuru Kenyatta statement about surrendering power come 2022. This comes only days after Uhuru Kenyatta publicly declared that he will not hand over power to a thief. His statement was directed to his Deputy William Ruto.
According to Johana Ngeno, the supremacy of the country lies with the people, who will determine who the next president of the republic of Kenya will be. He stated that the constitution is very clear and stipulates that the person elected by the majority will become the president of the republic of Kenya.
On matters BBI Ng’eno stated that the head of state should not use intimidation tactics to seek support from members of county assembly. He stated that the proponents of BBI should let the people decide on the way forward and not use intimidation and threats to pass the document, which has so far faced rejection in Baringo County.
