Land cabinet secretary Zachariah Njeru today left the house in stitches as he told president William Ruto that they shall continue walking around the country with an aim to better the lives of Kenyans.
Talking in Machakos today, Njeru had to recall his life in slams and promised the president to work extra hard so as to do away with the slams and bring affordable housing in Kenya.
He also asked the governor's to find them lands through the governor's council so as to build more houses in the country.
"First and foremost let me thank the president for giving me this opportunity to serve in his government. As a person who grew up in the slams there is nothing which will stop me from delivering to you and make the lives of Kenyans better through affordable housing. Also as you told us during our swearing in to Walk around the country, I must say that we shall continue walking around the country and make sure Kenyans get services. I appeal to governors to give us more lands so as we can build more houses for the people of Kenya," he said.
