Political Activist Alleges Options That Commissioners Should Have Followed Before Rejecting Results

Political activist Steve Ogola has admitted that it was very wrong for the four commissioners namely Julian Cherera, Francis Wanderi, Justus Nyanga'nya, and Irene Masit to reject presidential results on the final day. He alleges that they sabotage their functions and the constitution will not focus on the issue where there is a disagreement in the commission. He alleges that the four commissioners were working together with Chebukati but they opted to challenge the presidential results before it was announced.

Moreover, he alleges that they should have allowed Chebukati to release the presidential race and later requested him to crosscheck the results. He also alleges that the four commissioners should have decided to write a letter to Chebukati that they do not own the results in order to protect the integrity of the commission.

"..... calling a press in the middle of the declaration of the final results was not a rational decision," Steve Ogola said.
