Why The IEBC Suspended Elections For Kakamega And Mombasa Gubernatorial Races.

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) suspended the elections for the Mombasa and Kakamega counties governor races and they also gave out a number of reasons as to why they made the decisions.

The suspension decisions were announced by the IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati on Monday evening and the reasons for the suspension were errors which included wrong pictures for the candidates and details.

In the same press conference, Chebukati also stated that elections for Kacheliba and Pokot South Constituencies were suspended due to wrong details which were captured.

The commission will Gazette new dates when the elections will be conducted.
