Lawyer Alice Yano, is the youngest and last applicant to the position of Chief Justice. The Lawyer was hit with a tough question, regarding the role of Deputy Governors and Deputy Presidents.
She was also tasked with explaining whether it was right for them to simply take over after the demise of a Governor or President.
According to the JSC commissioner who was interviewing the lawyer, it felt that the Deputy Governors were being handed things on a silver platter.
However, knowing that this was a controversial question whose reply could be dissected in so many ways, Alice gave a short yet convincing reply.
According to the lawyer, this matter was already being discussed a lot on the outside.
Hence, she felt that she would be uncomfortable if she were to give her personal opinion on the matter.
Alice Will be competing alongside the likes of Fred Ngatia and many more legal minds, for the Chief Justice position.
