A few minutes ago, a commuter at Nairobi CBD was spotted struggling to enter a Personal Service Vehicle through the window. The picture is heartbreaking and a clear indication of how the citizens of Kenya are struggling to beat the 8:00 pm curfew put in place by the government, as a measure to contain the covid 19 diseases.
The curfew was revised by the president in five zone counties(Nairobi, Kajiado, Machakos, Nakuru, and Kiambu). President Uhuru Kenyatta announced that he had to come up with this decision, due to the increase in the number of deaths and also the rate of new infections. Kenyans had also ignored other measures put in place such as social distancing, regular hand washiing, and putting on face masks.
A few days ago, thousands of Kenyans were forced to sleep in the cold after the police installed roadblocks on Thika road.
As a Kenyan, do you think it will be best if the president opens the country?
