Jubilee party is set to loose another vocal lawmaker to Ruto's United Democratic Alliance party, after years of loyalty to the party, Kajiado East constituency member of parliament Hon. Peris Tobiko, will be decamping to Ruto's camp.
The 2022 Kajiado gubernatorial aspirant will be hosting deputy president William Ruto over the weekend, she is expected to officially decamp to Ruto's camp during the meeting.
She has reportedly reached at that decision following their relationship with current governor Ole Lenku, an ardent supporter of Jubilee party and the handshake. Tobiko has been very vocal in defending the ruling party, however, she recently stated that she had been listening to her constituents to give her directions.
By joining UDA, she will complicate things for Kajiado South constituency member of parliament Katoo Ole Matito who has been Ruto's foot soldier and is eying Narok gubernatorial seat on the United Democratic Alliance party ticket.
