Homa Bay Town constituency Member of Parliament (MP) George Kaluma has broken his silence after skipping President William Ruto's visit to his constituency.
The President is currently fellowshipping at African Inland Church (AIC) in Homa Bay Town, his first tour of Nyanza region after being sworn into office.
Why the area MP skipped the event
Taking to the social media, Hon Kaluma claimed that he wasn't aware of Ruto's visit to his constituency and therefore wasn't able to join him "due to lack of means".
"Just got information that President William Ruto will be in Homa Bay today. Welcome. I'm unable to be with you due to lack of means," he said.
The lawmaker went ahead and requested for a better coordination in the future to prevent such happenings.
"Let there be better coordination in future so that the MP whose constituency you're visiting has information and is available to receive you," he added.
His remarks comes shortly after the County's governor Gladys Wanga also announced that she won't be joining the President for the service for she was out of the County on official duties.
