Tough talking Michuki's remarks that Uhuru Kenyatta was the kingpin of the region almost spelt doom for Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua who by that time was campaigning for presidential seat alongside Peter Kenneth.
The fearless Michuki went on to announce that all those who were seeking leadership position were to be endorsed by Uhuru Kenyatta .
" Any Kikuyu leader who loves the agikuyu nation must follow uhuru Kenyatta. He will be the king of the agikuyu forever and we must rally behind him", Michuki said.
Michuki was served as minister of Environment under Kibaki's regime branded Karua and Peter Kenneth traitors and anytime they visited the region, their vehicles were pelted with stones.
Uhuru dominated as region's kingpin from 2010 up to 2022 where a new generation that didn't care about Michuki's remarks stood up and made their own direction.
However explaining his fallouts with Mt Kenya region, Nyeri Chairman of professionals said that Uhuru's decision to arrest elected leaders who supported Ruto's ambitions was seen as a weapon savior of state agencies and therefore he was hated by his own region.
