The immediate former president Uhuru Kenyatta is reportedly expected to meet President William Ruto for the first time since leaving office in September 23 this year. The last time President Ruto met with Uhuru and shared a forum is during Ruto's inauguration ceremony at Kasarani stadium. Meanwhile, reports indicate that Uhuru is set to open the third Inter-Congolese Consultations of the Nairobi Peace Process.

In the meeting, Burundi President His Excellency Evariste Ndayishimiye will be present to officiate the programme that will be held at Safari Park, Nairobi city. This comes after a series of efforts by Uhuru and other high profile delegations from across the African continent to facilitate peace discussions with regard to the war in Congo.

From Kenya, the former President has been the head of such a forums following his appointment by President Ruto. What will play out in their meeting is greatly anticipated for following the fact that they were top rivals before polls.
