Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot, has dismissed claims by the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition that the appointment of Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua as Raila Odinga's running mate might tilt women voters in Raila's favor.
Raila announced yesterday that Karua will be his running mate with her becoming the woman to be appointed for the position under the 2010 constitution.
Taking to his official Twitter account on Tuesday evening, the vocal Tanga Tanga legislator claimed that Karua's appointment cannot influence the women voters to vote for Azimio.
According to Cheruiyot, If she couldn't gather women votes in 2013 when she was a presidential candidate, then it will be hard for her to do it as a running mate.
"Kwani where had Kenyan women migrated to in 2013 ? KuZimia are now telling us Martha will deliver the mirage called women vote to their side . Surely, If she couldn't do it as the main name on the ballot, how will she fair now as running mate? Manage your hysteria please." Posed Cheruiyot.
