According to news hitting the air waves just now, Wiper party party has reportedly picked Ali Mbogo as Sonko’s preferred replacement after an order by the IEBC.
According to the Standard, In oral submissions on Monday, IEBC lawyer Edwin Mukele Mukele told the Mombasa High Court that Wiper had presented Mbogo to replace Sonko.
It has emerged the IEBC had already forwarded the said names to the government printer and the process was underway.
Reports indicate that Sonko will deputize Mbogo as the court to listen to his case.
Sonko was kicked out of the race by the IEBC on allegations that he was impeached for fraud and misappropriation of funds.
Earlier on Wiper party and Ukambani kingpin Kalonzo Musyoka had hinted that Mike Sonko was going to on be the ballot no matter what.
More Dramas are expected soon with a three judge bench already in place to listen to Sonko’s case.
Sonko will be vying for the county's top seat on a Wiper party ticket, he will face off UDA’s Hassan Omar and Abdulswamad of ODM Alongside seven other candidates.
