Senators Take Selfies to Show Their Happiness Over The County Revenue Allocation Success

Kenyans have been waiting for such a time when our Senators would finally arrive at a consensus concerning the County Revenue Allocation formula. The debate has been a very heated one with politicians picking sides and clashing with their rivals.

The journey has been so long since it commenced and finally there is reprieve. After several weeks if not months of back and forth and adjournments without a consensus in the Senate, today they finally got to one.

They have finally agreed on something though a little bit late since Governors have also taken their stand and ordered for the shut down of counties, thus causing a lot of distress among citizens who can no longer receive some services from County Government offices.

Something nice also happened today after the Senators had closed the deal. They went into a 'photo-shoot', at least that is what I can call it. They took pictures which I presume are saved on their mobile phones for reminder purposes.

I mean, come on, it was a wonderful story with a successful end for them after many sleepless night. Is it that wrong to seal it with selfie memories?

Here are some of the selfies;

The selfies were taken within the parliament buildings and the Senators seemed to be very happy. They later went on to post pictures on their official social media accounts just like any other happy person would have done.

Meanwhile according to the agreement today, the Senators agreed that no county will loose any cash whatsoever at the expense of another. Also, the President had announced to add counties an amount totaling to 50 Billion shillings.
