Parade protest

I am Sorry; Igathe apologies to the Somali community

Only days after Igathes words caused protests among the Somali community,he has come out to apologize.

Igathe was meeting with Kenya Private Sector Association when he said those words. The meeting had brought together private business owners in Nairobi from the Kikuyu nation. He was seen trying to cheer up the Kikuyus towards taking leadership in Nairobi.

In the video that has since gone viral,he says that city hall is controlled by three persons from the Somali community and that the political leadership of Kikuyus is about to die.

These words were not taken kindly with somali and muslim leaders writing to NCIC and threatening yo rally their people not to vote for him. Aden Duale also demanded an apology from him.

In a letter to media houses, Igathe says his words were taken out of context. He says he had no intentions of profiling the Somalis as cartels in Nairobi.

This move will see him save over 100,000 votes from the somalis that he would have otherwise lost.

What are your thoughts?
