The head of public service has send a message to foreigners residing in the country, Kenyans as well as their plans to ensure power is handed over to the president-elect William Ruto.
Kinyua who is the official tasked with overseeing the transition power has lauded Kenyans saying that they showed patience prior to the declaration of the elected president.
"On behalf of the National Security Advisory Committee, I'm pleased to confirm that our nation remains peaceful and secure. We laud all Kenyans for a high degree, high sense of civic duty and for demonstrating tremendous patience as we waited for the declaration of presidential election results," said Joseph Kinyua.
In has further appreciated the good work that was executed by the agencies tasked with providing security in the country during and after the entire election period.
"We also appreciate the national police service and all other security agencies for the tremendous work they did in maintaining law and order during the election period. The declaration of the presidential election results sets in motion other constitutional processes for the transition going forward," said Joseph Kinyua.
Lastly, Kinyua has stated that necessary metrics have already been put in place to ensure the nation together with everyone reman safe and secure.
"The National Security Advisory Committee wishes to assure all Kenyans and all other persons residents in our nation that the government continues to take all necessary measures to ensure that the entirety of the country is safe and secure," added Joseph Kinyua.
