initially, there were claims from different political leaders that if there building bridges initiative, there are no elections in 2022 polls. This is after the document being disapproved by the Court that it does not meet the needs of all people, but is biased to some point, whereby a group of certain people will benefit from the document. Recently, the proposal was heard from COTU general secretary, Francis Atwoli, that if the document is not approved there will be no elections. The documents need some amendment to be approved.
Deputy President, Dr William Samoei Rutto, have rebuked the same suggesting that elections will be done with or without the building bridges initiative. As it is believed that the deputy President is against the building bridges initiative.
This has created more dialogue not only among political leaders but also among the citizens.
