Speaking yesterday 18th September Nyali Mombasa county, Joho said he was optimistic that Odinga will be elected President come 2022, and it was the only way coastal region affairs will be considered at high tables.
Joho went ahead and urged the leaders and voters from the region to rally behind Odinga as he has the interest of the coastal region at heart. “I call on all coast leaders to unite, for this will not only give us our fair share of a voice in national matters but also equitable representation in nation building,” Joho said.
It should be remembered that Joho is among the leaders from ODM party who've shown interest in the presidential seat. He however said he's still ready to vie incase the party sees him fit to be the flag bearer. Other ODM leaders including James Orengo and Otiende Amollo had also vowed to set their ambitions aside and focus on Raila's Presidedncy
