Few days after swearing-in of various governor's from different counties, some have reported to their offices while others have not reported.
Today, Embu governor elect Hon Cecily Mbarire has visited president-elect William Ruto at his home Karen Nairobi. Among the key agendas for her visit include improvement of heathcare sector, agriculture sector among others.
"I paid a courtesy call to President-Elect William Samoei Ruto where I thanked him for his immense support to me and the entire UDA/KENYA kwanza family. I further informed him that I had officially taken over the leadership of the county and highlighted the issues of concern to the people of Embu county. Top on the agenda was; Healthcare system which is in dire need of resuscitation. Second is our Agriculture sector where we discussed the need to institute the much-needed reforms in the Tea, Coffee, and Dairy sector. We further discussed the Muguka sector," said Cecily Mbarire.
During their discussion, governor elect Cecily Mbarire revealed that the president elect William Samoei Ruto has a better plan for the entire country on matters concerning farmers.
"He has a great plan for ensuring that farmers get affordable farm inputs top among them fertilizer, creating market linkages that bring the highest returns in terms of prices for the farmer, and making value addition a priority agenda going forward. Finally, we discussed on appointments of Embu county politicians and professionals to key positions in his government," added Mbarire.
"He assured me of his continued support for Embu County when he gets into office. I do not doubt that we have a great partner in the President-Elect William Samoei Ruto in making Embu County great. We wish you well in the petition at Supreme Court. Our God remains supreme and this too shall pass," said Cecily Mbarire.
