Jubilee Party Allegedly About to be 'Sold' as Ruto Names The Buyer

Deputy President William Ruto has once again bashed his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, this time accusing him of engineering the death of the ruling Jubilee Party founded by the two of them.

The once invincible outfit is currently on its deathbed, with allied leaders dividing their loyalty between the President and the deputy, who despite having been very close before, have since fallen out.

Ruto now says that the President is to blame for handing over the party to officials who have killed it and surrendering it's leadership to Secretary General Raphael Tuju and Vice Chair David Murathe.

The DP, also the party Deputy Leader, on Sunday claimed that after running it down, the two have embarked on auctioning it and have found a customer in the name of ODM boss Raila Odinga.

"He left Jubilee to Murathe and Tuju who have now brought it down. The last time I checked they were about to sell it to the man of riddles (Raila)," he told his supporters at a stop over in Githunguri, Kiambu.

Tuju and Murathe have been accused of playing the biggest role in planning and implementing the purge that saw allies of Ruto ejected from top party leadership positions, landing them under attack.

Some allies of the President have also attacked them for mismanaging the party, especially when it comes to mini elections, and have began the push to have them ousted before the next elections.

They are also seen as supporters of Raila and his presidential bid from within the ruling outfit, with Murathe going as far as claiming that 2022 will be a Mandela moment that will see Raila take over.
