The 2022 year is finally here with us with just seven months remaining before the Kenyans head to general elections to elect new political leaders.
It's good news to Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga following the bold move taken by two renowned government lawmakers to join his camp ahead of the next general elections.
The two mps are Naomi Shaban of Taveta Constituency and his Kaloleni counterpart Paul Katana who have announced ditching deputy president Dr William Ruto's UDA party.

It's a big blow to DP Ruto's presidential bid in the move to solicit the coastal region votes as a good number of coastal leaders who had vowed to support Dr Ruto have shifted their support to Azimio la Umoja Movement.
In conclusion, according to Kaloleni MP Hon. Katana, he decided to ditch UDA after listening to his people and the ground who advised him to rejoin ODM party.
