The head of state has unveiled his cabinet that will help him run the country for the next five years.
Dr. Ruto has also made some important appointments where he has appointed the former speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi as the new attorney general to replace Kihara.
Engineer Japheth Koome has been appointed as the inspector general of police.
Dr. William Ruto has nominated Eng. Japheth Koome Nchebere to the position of Inspector General of Police to replace inspector Hillary Mutyambai who is proceeding for terminal leave.

Mr. Koome is the former Nairobi County Police Commander and is the current Commandant of the National Police Service College, Kiganjo.

While unveiling his Cabinet at State House this evening, President Dr. William Ruto announced that Mutyambai had requested to proceed on terminal leave due to his ill health.
The president has also confirmed that more appointments will follow in days to come.
