Raila Grace the Burial Ceremony of Nyeri DG Carolina's Mother Jacinta Wanjiru in Nyeri County

Former prime minister Raila Odinga has today graced the burial ceremony of the late Mama Jacinta Wanjiru Karugu in Nyeri county. The late is the mother of Nyeri deputy governor Carolina Karugu.

The leaders eulogized the late Jacinta Wanjiru Karugu as a true and loyal matriarch. They consoled the family and close friends of the late Jacinta Wanjiru Karugu. Janet Karugu died on 19th January this year.

Several leaders attended the burial ceremony which took place at Chaka grounds in Nyeri county. They include Nakuru governor Lee Kinyanjui, Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo, Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga and ICT cabinet secretary Joe Mucheru.

" Today I joined Raila Odinga and the people of Nyeri in paying our last respects to Mam Jacinta Wanjiru Karugu the mother to Nyeri county deputy governor Carolina Karugu at Chaka in Nyeri county" wrote Kisumu Governor Anyang Nyongo on his official Facebook page.

Several members of parliament from Mount Kenya region are also in attendance. They include Kieni legislator Kanini Kega, Nyeri Town legislator Kimani Wambugu, Muranga women representative Sabina Chege among other elected leaders.

On Wednesday evening Raila Odinga visited the family of Nyeri deputy governor Carolina Karugu at their Nairobi home to console them. He was accompanied by Nairobi governor Anne Kananu, Muranga women representative Sabina Chege and Jubilee nominated senator Isaac Ngugi.
