In Elgeyo Marakwet, Murkomen And UDA Are Warned Against Doing This

Sen. Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeyo Marakwet and the United Democratic Alliance party have been cautioned not to participate in the county's by-elections after Murkomen was selected for the position of cabinet secretary. As a result, the county has no senator and has requested a reelection.

Murkomen's successor campaigns have already begun, and the participants have asked the current cabinet secretary for Roads, Transport, and Public Works to stay out of them. Politicians fear that Murkomen and the UDA party may intervene and have an impact on his successor.

Three elected leaders were among the individuals the president announced last Tuesday as candidates for various cabinet positions in his administration. Aden Duale of Garissa Township, Alice Wahome of Kandara, and Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeyo Marakwet were chosen to fill the cabinet positions. By-elections will be held in these three locations to choose new leaders to take their place.
