Amid the new SIM card re-registration strategy proposed by the Communications Authority, Kenyans seem to be having so many unanswered questions running through their minds. With the deadline of the activity scheduled on 14th of this month, many have been plunged into limbo with some unaware of what relevant action to take. One of the frequently asked concerns is what will become of the unsettled loans in various SIM cards should a disconnection be implemented.
Particularly addressing this concern today, the Safaricom Company through their Twitter account clarified that if a simcard will be disconnected with an unsettled loan, the user's details will be forwarded to the Credit Reference Bereau (CRB) over default.
"Kindly note that your details would still be forwarded to CRB due to lack of loan payment." They clarified.
With less than 10 days remaining before the deadline, many Kenyans seem to have taken the matter seriously with several Safaricom outlets across the country being heavily crowded. Have you done your SIM card update from your end? Share your experiences on the comment section.
