Do You Wish To Make Your NHIF Card Active Once Again? Pay 1500 Shillings To Reactivate It

The National Health Insurance Fund is a platform that makes it easy for patients to get medical attention free of charge. It has become a useful platform which allows the card holder to add family members as beneficiaries. You are however supposed to make 500 shillings contributions every month in order to keep the card active.

Failure to make monthly contributions for a period exceeding one year usually makes your card dormant meaning that it cannot be used at any health facility. To reactivate the card is easy and can be done on phone through the mpesa option.

Steps to follow to reactivate your NHIF card:

1. Open the mpesa application and go to the Lipa na mpesa menu.

2. Choose the paybill option and feed in the details of the business number as 200222 and the account number as the ID number of whoever the card is registered under.

3. Pay 1500 shillings and submit to wait for a confirmation message from NHIF.

Note: Once the card is activated once again, you will continue to make your monthly payment to keep it active. The good news is that you can use the card for medical reasons after 60 days.
