President William Ruto said during his speech at the launch that this is the beginning of empowering Kenya's hustlers till they are able to raise themselves to a higher level. He advised individuals to venture outside and seize this chance to expand their enterprises.

However, there is a cost associated with not paying back this loan. According to Citizen TV, the interest rate would increase to 9.5% per year 15 days after the date of delinquency if the loan is not repaid within the 14-day grace period. If you don't pay within this new deadline, your account will be frozen and your credit score will be lowered.
