According to an interview with Lynn Ngugi on Tuko talks, Jane Wamuyu started hawking tea and mandarin until a friend introduced her to selling mitumba bales.

The husband was also in the job but never provided food for the family. However, her business went on well until March 2020 when Covid-19 arrived in Kenya.

The husband never lost his job but Jane lost because she had a loan in Stanbic and rent arrears of Ksh. 150,000.

Jane's husband used to abuse her and one day the husband came home and cut her hand and told the police that his wife was a good person and had done everything for him. Jane had to jump over the fence with her children for safety.

She found her freedom and started from scratch again by selling clothes. God has seen her all through. She makes millions from selling the mitumba bales.
