Primary candidates started their exams today country wide. The exams normally takes three days and candidates usually transition to the next step. Usually the candidates take time to transition to the next step.Joy filled the air in Tharaka Nithi county as a candidate got a child hours before the start of the paper.
This is the year that most kids will transition to the next level. This is the highest number to be experienced in the country and it will require alot of resources in order for the government to gather for all the children at this time. However, challenges are there and are rampant. It is sad to see a small child get pregnant while still in primary school. This joins a list of shame in the country with the number of teen pregnancies.
A KCPE candidate from Tharaka Nithi has given birth this morning. The Class Eight girl delivered her baby moments before the Mathematics paper. She will now write her exams at the hospital.
