Condom Shortage Reported in Kisumu as Africities Summit Begins

Only 5,000 government condoms are accessible in Kisumu, which is hosting the ninth AfriCities conference, which begins today.

For one condom from the shops, customers will have to pay at least $1 (Sh100).

Government-provided condoms will not be available in dispensers around the county, according to visitors and visitors.

Condoms are not only a good way to prevent pregnancy, but they also protect you from sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The lack of condoms has been acknowledged by Kisumu County officials and health sector stakeholders, who have advised visitors and residents to take care.

The refurbished Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Sports Ground has been set aside as a pleasure center for visitors attending the summit. Outside the club, tents will be erected, and more security staff will be engaged to accommodate the anticipated increased number of visitors.
