These cause the hypothalamus and pituitary gland to release hormones including, gonadotropin, follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone which triggers ovaries to make eggs. Research shows that 60% of women who take this drugs ovulates and most of them get pregnant.
Research shows it works by inhibiting aromatase. When estrogen levels becomes lower, pituitary gland produces more hormones needed to stimulate ovary produce an egg.
This drug lowers high levels of male hormones in women which in turn assists body to ovulate.
