There has been a continuous ongoing process on huduma number collection in Kenya. About 2 years ago, Kenyans were required to physically present themselves to register for the huduma number which is currently being issued on all huduma centers country wide. Many people have been having questions asking whether children under 18 years should have an huduma card, you might be having the same question but today you will get the information regarding the same. All the other individuals who are above 18 years should have with them huduma cards in order to be able to get government services.
On Tuesday, 18th may, according to the Kenya news agency, the government Spokesperson Dr. Cyrus Oguna spoke on the above subject matter regarding on whether children under the age of 18 years should have and collect a huduma card. The government Spokesperson in quotes said "Children under 18 years will only have a Huduma Number and upon turning 18 years they shall be issued with the card,” this were his exact words.
The government Spokesperson speaking on the same matter notified the public that about 37 million Kenyans registered for huduma number where out of the total, only 20 million Kenyans were adults aging 18 years and above. He said that it's only those aging 18 years and above will receive the huduma cards, the rest will only get huduma number but upon reaching the adults age will get their huduma cards.
