'He Defiled Me And Took Off When I Became Pregnant' Teenager Narrates What She Encountered In Oyugis

A teenage girl, Linet Akinyi, has narrate how she got defiled in Rachuonyo south, Homa Bay county.

According to Akinyi, she is got defiled by a Boda boda rider in Rawinji.

Narrating the scene at these year's Activism against Gender based violence; Akinyi stated that she was a student at a school in outskirts of Oyugis town in Rachuonyo.

Unfortunately, At some point she stopped going to school due to school fee issues. There is when a boda boda rider lured her into trap and defiled her.

Akinyi then got pregnant but the boda boda escaped to unknown area and cut off all their communications despite promising her that he will marry her.

Currently; Akinyi is nursing her young child has she plans to embark on her studies come January, 2023.

Note; Akinyi his among 1444 teenagers in Homa Bay that have undergone Gender based violence.

So far, Homa Bay CEC for Gender and Social services Salim Malit has launched a campaign to stop GBV.
