"My Son Was Diagnosed With Kidney Failure When He Was One Month old. I Wished Death On Him; Paul

Paul Waiganjo who is a popular gospel artist from Nairobi painfully narrated how his one month old baby was diagnosed with kidney failure. He was so stressed that he wished death on his son.

According to he is married and he is a father of three children. He said that when his wife got pregnant for her third baby they were excited and looked forward to his birth. His wife attended all her prenatal clinics and nine months later she went into labour.

According to him she gave birth to a baby boy who was healthy. They were discharged and two days later, they realized that their newborn baby could go for a short call and he was always crying in pain.

They took him back to hospital and they were informed that his urinary ducts were blocked. The condition had affected their son completely. One of his kidneys had failed when he was one month old and he was placed on dialysis.

Life became challenging for them because his son was in a lot of pain and agony. He underwent first surgery followed by three more a few months later. He became financially drained that he couldn't afford his son's treatment anymore.

He went on to say that his condition didn't improve and he was informed that his son needed specialized care that could only be done in India. He couldn't afford it and he was so stressed that he wished his son would die and avoid the suffering he was enduring.

"I wished that my son would die so that he can escape the pain he was goin through." Paul said.

His friends came together and they organized a fundraising ceremony for him and he managed to raise money enoughto to take his son to India for treatment. Together with his wife they lived there for one month and the surgery was conducted.

He said that it was successful and his son was able to live a normal life with one kidney and without dialysis. He is always on medication buy he is healthy and he is now a school going child.

He has thanked everyone who came to help him and everyone who encouraged him when he lost hope and wished that his son would die. He has adviced people to help one another especially when they are going through challenging times in life.
