The pain and agony of COVID-19 have left a family with distress and sadness after losing their daughter who has been struggling for the past four months in hospital.
The late Frida Mwendwa was admitted to Nairobi hospital on 3rd, August 2021 after she felt complications in her breathing.
The family rushed her to Nairobi Hospital where she was forced to give birth at 28weeks since she was pregnant and the critical condition could affect the baby.
After a successful CS, Fridah was taken to the Intensive Care Unit was she was kept for 54 days, and later to HDU where she was for 35 days. Lastly, she was transferred to the general ward on 27th October 2021.
Her condition worsened each passing day but the family could not afford to get her out of hospital despite the hospital bill tuning to Ksh 20million.
May her soul Rest in Peace, you have fought a good fight.
