Schools May Not Resume As Scheduled If These Requirements Are Not Met [OPINION]

The best thing that can happen to our children is getting an education and this will happen best by going back to school and not staying at home like it happened last year. Parents can agree with me on this since getting children back to school gives them ample to do more other things.

With less than two weeks to the scheduled opening dates, parents are worried and concerned about the future holds for their children who badly need education. This worry has been brought about by the rooming rumors that schools might not reopen as scheduled as well as the extension of lockdown which is expected to happen in the next update.

However, the good news to overturn all this worry is the assurance that we are getting day in day out from our leaders who have promised that schools will reopen as scheduled.

This started with Wilson Sossion who on a live interview early this month said that there is nothing that will hinder children from going back to school and added that they are providing everything schools need to receive students.

The ministry of education through Dr. Maghoha has said that nothing has changed in their plan and they expect schools to resume studies on 10th May a thing that has also been backed up by the Ministry of Health who will provide all necessary equipment and takes all precaution measures to ensure that students are back to school safe and ready to learn.

Taking this to the opinion side I would say that schools need to be reopped after all health measures have been observed and schools provided with all necessary equipment.

This will be the best thing to do for our children as well as resuming schools in groups so as to reduce congestion during reporting day, especially to boarding schools.

Another thing that needs to be clear is how students will travel to those counties with the travel ban to the five counties. A clear letter should be written for all teachers and students to be allowed to access their learning facilities.

As parents, what do you think is the best thing to do to our children? Should we schools reopen in full or do they do it partially like last year? Leave your comments in the comments section below and don't forget to Like, Share and Follow for more updates.
