Don't waste time looking for a birth certificate in government offices. Requirements Scanned copies of your parent's ID cards, original birth certificate, birth registration forms and a small fee issued by Ksh. 100 to Ksh. 200. An e-Citizen account.
You can create it with your ID card number, email address and phone number. After you have created and registered your e-Citizen account, you can access the numerous services of the e-Citizen portal. Procedure Log into your e-Citizen portal. later you can apply for the Kenyan birth certificate at the Department of Vital Statistics.
You will be asked to answer a series of questions about the person you are applying for or about yourself if it is a self-application to verify your identity. Make the required payments based on your particle category.
Payment options available include prepaid cards. MPesa, Pesalink, debit card, Airtel Money and of a course credit card. After you've completed the payment and verified the application process, choose a location to pick up your birth certificate.
When the entire application process is complete, you will receive an SMS notification that your birth certificate is available. Alternatively, you can simply visit their e-Citizen portal. You can then access your birth certificate.
