The CEO, Peter Ndegwa launched a new app known as MPESAGO that will be used by school going children. This app works like an M-PESA account and is built for children aged 10-17 year, but with oversight by parents or guardians.

The app will enable young users to send or receive money, buy airtime and bundles, and use Lipa na M-PESA services. Additionally the MPESAGO will enable the children manage their pocket money well.
With the world going cashless the company advised parent to embrace the technology.
To get the app one can download it from Google play store
You can sign up your son or daughter to MPESAGO using the self-onboarding option on https://safaricom.com/mpesa-go/onboarding or by visiting any Safaricom outlet with your ID and your child’s birth certificate.
