In Kenya today the rate of children kidnapping has gone up by 50 percent in the last three months. Example is the case of Evans Wanjala a twenty one years old boy who admitted to the Directotrate Of Criminal Investgation(DCI) for kidnapping and killing over ten children.
Children kidnapping has been contributed by some of the parents for neglecting their role as parents to their children, most of the parents are committed to their work and other activities and therefore give little attention to there children. Children feel desperate and tries to get help from strangers and trust them.
What most of the kidnaprs needs is to win childrens trust and therefore pretends to be good to the children, once he or she wins their trust he can move with the child at any place he wishes
It's risky to write your child's name on their school bag, sweater and on their masks, this is too risky. When the names are written outside it makes it easier for the kidnappers to kidnap them as they call them by their names. The innocent children will respond positively believing that those kidnappers know them.
Please parents make sure understand children well and people they associate with. Those pretends to be good to the children.
