Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro has dared the Government not to increase the fuel prices citing the hard economic times that are faced by Kenyans brought about by the Covid-19 situation.
Nyoro in a post, has asked the Government not to inflict more pain on the already frustrated Kenyans by increasing the fuel prices.
"To the Executive arm of the Government of Kenya; Do NOT dare to increase oil prices anytime. While you are in posh offices, you may not have an idea of what Kenyans are going through especially after the recent restriction directives. Do NOT try to inflict more pain on Kenyans."
The lawmaker asked the government to create more opportunities for the youths especially at this time that the country is battling the pandemic
"You must also broaden Kazi Mtaani in terms of scope and time while still thinking outside the box to create more sustainable Jobs for the Youth."
There has been allegations that the government is planning to hike the fuel prices in the next few days following an increase in world fuel prices.
