School Indefinitely Closed In Busia County After Fire Razed Down The Dormitory For The 4th Time

Sigalame High School in Busia closed indefinitely after fourth fire incidentA popular school identified as Sigalame High School in Funyula, Busia County, has been closed indefinitely after a fire razed one of the dormitories today early in the morning.

The school has recorded several cases of fire incidences since it was reopened this term. This of today makes the number of fire incidences to four.

Samia sub county Director of Education, Dominic Opee instructed the students to remain home until investigations into the cause of the fire are concluded.

The learners also caused a serious unrest early this morning. They even chased away chased away the school guards, injuring one of them in the process. The guard was only rushed to the hospital for treatment of the injuries he was inflicted by the rioting students.

Luckily enough, police officers rushed in the school and calmed down the angry students from causing intense damage to the school properties and its surrounding.

This eventually made the school board of management to shut down indefinitely the operations on the school until when investigations will be over.
